This is your weekly reminder that you can handle anything that comes in your way! I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Your practice on the mat is a microcosm of your practice off the mat. Your practice at life. Cause at the end of the day, that's what we're all doing. We're practicing. Trying our best. Learning new things. Failing. Retrying. Succeeding. Overcoming. And hiccuping again. And round and round we go, sitting on this big ball that's flying through space. It's all we can do, is try. So this class today is your reminder, and your practice, to keep trying. To keep learning and growing no matter what life throws in your way. To build the strength to endure on YOUR terms. If I asked you to name all of the people in your life that you love, how long would it take for you to name yourself? I know, for me, it would take me a while. And possibly a little prompting. All too often we live outside of ourselves. In different moments. In different scenarios. In different circumstances. We send our thoughts and our prayers to others. We send out love and affection to others. It's easy and it's natural right? But when was the last time you hugged yourself because you love yourself, and not because you're balled up in a flood of tears? I think it's time we realized that the person we need to love on the most is not that person over there (though I'm sure they deserve love too!) The person who you need to love on the most is you! So that is my challenge for you this week. Show yourself that you care. Treat yourself like you would treat someone (else) that you love. Unsure of how to do that? Healthy food. Lots of sleep. Massage/touch. Movement. And I've got just that class for you! Power Yoga to Embrace Who You Are! And it's an hour long. Meaning you get to really reeeeeaaallllly enjoy it!
