-Gail Sheehy My friend. This is our last correspondence of 2021. The last two years have tested us; they've changed us. But I try not to be one that focuses on the past. What does Rafiki say? “The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it.” If that isn't accurate...? So instead of focusing on the past, I invite you to step into the future with me. And we can only step into the future when we arrive in the present. When we take the actions now, build the habits now, build the foundations now, for the future that we want to step into. Because truly, the future is now. We exist in no other moment. So today, the last Tuesday of 2021, I invite you to take a moment to reflect. Reflect on the person you have become, and on the person you desire to be. And let the yoga practice lead you there. I have two gifts for you today, dear friend. First, of course, our final free community class on YouTube. This class uses the power of twists to unwind the body and release the mind from daily stress. It's 35 minutes of pure magic and not to be missed. And second, the gift of a centered and grounded start to the new year. We don't need any more chaos in this world, do we? No, I agree, we do not. So to start the year off right, I am sharing with you a program that I developed to draw the mind back into the body, to release anxiety and stress and come home to the self: Strong and Centered, a 7 day yoga reset. You will find the classes in this month's calendar, though they are not on YouTube. They are inside the Yoga Infusion Studio. Good morning ! I'm writing this after just discovering that we've hit 2000 subscribers on YouTube! This is huge! Thank you for helping me reach this milestone! That's 2000 people who are dedicated to strengthening their bodies, building their confidence, and coming to their yoga mat day in and day out. People like you. Stoked to have you here. Ok, moving on :) Today's class is dedicated to those who need things to slow down, or be toned down, a little bit. I know my classes can be hard. It's something I pride myself on. I intend for my classes to be hard. So we don't have many classes that are suitable for newer students of yoga, if I'm being honest. It's kind of like no matter what class you click on, you get chucked into the deep end of the Yoga Infusion swimming pool. So this class is a little bit more accessible, a little bit more relaxed, and a little bit more focused on foundations. All while giving you a good stretch, a postural adjustment, and if we're lucky, adding another inch to your spine. Or maybe a centimeter... Enjoy!
