“I lied and said I was busy.
I was busy; but not in a way most people understand. I was busy taking deeper breaths. I was busy silencing irrational thoughts. I was busy calming a racing heart. I was busy telling myself I am okay. Sometimes, this is my busy - and I will not apologize for it.” ― Brittin Oakman" I'm not going to lie, I've felt conflicted these last couple of weeks about sharing content and continuing my business like there's nothing going on in the world. But things are always going on in the world, aren't they? Whether they're all over the headlines or not. I suppose, when you really think about it, we have to become somewhat numb to all of this if we have any hope of getting through our days without falling into a heaping mess whenever we hear about senseless deaths. But at the same time, we can't be too numb without risking losing our humanity. Where is the middle ground? While there are wars all over the world, and hate crimes, and murder, and racism and sexism and homo and transphobia, how do we find a middle ground of standing up for peoples' rights while also taking care of ourselves so that we can try to function normally in society? I don't have an answer, unfortunately, just never ending questions. But I do know that we cannot get far when we are mentally and physically exhausted. We must secure our own life mask before those of others. Because we're no good to anyone if we can't face the day. So when you're tired, I say rest. Find a class like our free class this week, and move the body in ways that feel good. Allow yourself the time to hit the reset button. Give yourself permission to flow, gently, through the emotions of this season. This, too, shall pass. (Hopefully sooner rather than later and with the least amount of pain) From my ❤️ to yours, Dylan

“How do you know, unless you open the door?” ― Casey Rislov
Let's talk today about trying new things. It's really not easy, is it? At least not always. Sometimes trying new things is uncomfortable, but other times it is downright scary. Oftentimes that fear comes from a place of insecurity. That insecurity could be based on any number of things, but I would warrant a guess they're related to your Root Chakra, Muladhara. Maybe you're afraid of being made fun of, which stems from fear of abandonment. If you don't fit in, you could be left out, or worse: kicked out. Or your afraid you'll fall or fail. This is ultimately a fear for your survival. What are you afraid of? I'll tell you mine. When trying new things, I'm afraid that I wont be good at it (I don't last long with things that don't come naturally to me), and if I'm not good at it then either I'll quit, or be terminated, and then I will have left the safety of the known only to have made a terrible mistake. And what if I can't go back...? Now, I'm not saying that these fears are unwarranted. I'm just saying they come from somewhere; from deep inside of us. From the very beginning of our existence. Which correlates to the Root, our first chakra. The purpose of this chakra is to take care of your survival, and it's located at the base of the spine. If you struggle with finances, feeling secure and safe, boundaries, frequent illness, or issues with the bowels and lower body, then you may be a bit out of whack in this energy center. So why am I here talking about the Root Chakra and trying new things? Because today's free class is a Kundalini Class that works specifically on this space in the body. Kundalini may be new for many of you, but don't let that hold you back! This one is short, and a great place to start on this journey! This time, though, you're trying something new from the safety of your mat. The worst that could happen: you don't like it. The best: you could love it! So give it a try, share your experience stepping out of your comfort zone over on Instagram (tag @yoga.infusion) or in the Yoga Infusion Community and let's get braver together! Sat Nam, Dylan Ps. If you'd like to experience other Root Chakra themed classes, including the full length version of this one, hop on over to the Yoga Infusion Studio and get one month free to try them all out! 1/31/2022 0 Comments Busy Day Flow for Ease
“in a world full of temporary things you are a perpetual feeling.” ― Sanober Khan
We all lead busy lives, Between work, life, feeding ourselves, running a household, doing laundry, remembering to get gas, and making sure we don't get into trouble, days end much too fast. And even though I know that your yoga practice is probably the first thing you chuck off the list, it really should be the last. I know I like to talk about the physical practice a lot, and how it makes you strong, but there's also a lot to be said about the mental practice involved with coming to your mat. You prove to yourself that you're committed, that you show up day in and day out. You learn to slow down the breath and begin to gain control over your thoughts. You leave stress and anxiety at the door and spend some time working solely on yourself, for your own good. You take the time to love yourself. All of these things are so so important, and are the very foundations of living a more peaceful life. And right now, boy do we need to find some peace. Don't let the thing that can truly help you find stillness be the first thing you give up on a busy day. (I'm saying this to myself, too...) This is why I create these calendars, so that you can plan your classes into your life. It's why I strive to create shorter, but fulfilling, classes. I want you to thrive in your practice, and these tools are there to make it easier. Will you promise to get on your mat today? And tomorrow? 약속? (Promise?) Great! Download your calendar HERE and carve aside 31 minutes for today's new free class! Busy Day Flow for Ease. Tell me that doesn't sound tantalising! "If we don’t change, we don’t grow. If we don’t grow, we aren’t really living."
-Gail Sheehy My friend. This is our last correspondence of 2021. The last two years have tested us; they've changed us. But I try not to be one that focuses on the past. What does Rafiki say? “The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it.” If that isn't accurate...? So instead of focusing on the past, I invite you to step into the future with me. And we can only step into the future when we arrive in the present. When we take the actions now, build the habits now, build the foundations now, for the future that we want to step into. Because truly, the future is now. We exist in no other moment. So today, the last Tuesday of 2021, I invite you to take a moment to reflect. Reflect on the person you have become, and on the person you desire to be. And let the yoga practice lead you there. I have two gifts for you today, dear friend. First, of course, our final free community class on YouTube. This class uses the power of twists to unwind the body and release the mind from daily stress. It's 35 minutes of pure magic and not to be missed. And second, the gift of a centered and grounded start to the new year. We don't need any more chaos in this world, do we? No, I agree, we do not. So to start the year off right, I am sharing with you a program that I developed to draw the mind back into the body, to release anxiety and stress and come home to the self: Strong and Centered, a 7 day yoga reset. You will find the classes in this month's calendar, though they are not on YouTube. They are inside the Yoga Infusion Studio. You will need to sign up for the free trial to get access to them, but the free trial will give you enough time to try them out! If you have any question as to how to access the Yoga Infusion Studio, hit reply and let me know! As always, I am grateful for you, for your presence here, for your trust in me as your yoga teacher and as your friend. Wishing you the most beautiful start to the new year. ? “I am always doing that which I cannot do, in order that I may learn how to do it.” ― Pablo Picasso
Good morning ! I'm writing this after just discovering that we've hit 2000 subscribers on YouTube! This is huge! Thank you for helping me reach this milestone! That's 2000 people who are dedicated to strengthening their bodies, building their confidence, and coming to their yoga mat day in and day out. People like you. Stoked to have you here. And if you haven't subscribed to the Yoga Infusion YouTube yet, but are following these classes, please take a half a second to subscribe now. It will help us reach that 3000 mark even sooner! Ok, moving on :) Today's class is dedicated to those who need things to slow down, or be toned down, a little bit. I know my classes can be hard. It's something I pride myself on. I intend for my classes to be hard. So we don't have many classes that are suitable for newer students of yoga, if I'm being honest. It's kind of like no matter what class you click on, you get chucked into the deep end of the Yoga Infusion swimming pool. So this class is a little bit more accessible, a little bit more relaxed, and a little bit more focused on foundations. All while giving you a good stretch, a postural adjustment, and if we're lucky, adding another inch to your spine. Or maybe a centimeter... Enjoy! PS: This is the last week to sign up for our Croatia trip at the early bird price. If you are looking for the literal best Christmas gift to give to yourself or your loved on, THIS is it. No joke. Plus, you get to support a small business, travel the world, practice yoga daily, and work on your killer tan. #heavenonearth ? Dylan 11/29/2021 0 Comments Upper Body Strength Vinyasa
“I promise you that the same stuff galaxies are made of, you are. The same energy that swings planets around stars makes electrons dance in your heart. It is in you, outside you, you are it. It is beautiful. Trust in this. And you your life will be grand.” ― Kamal Ravikant
I have just returned from a brief trip with my mom to San Francisco where we spent Thanksgiving with her brother's family, which is the only time I see my cousins and so is an important time of the year for me. It was beautiful there, and this trip helped me to gain more of an appreciation for the city, especially while I was eating fresh baked pastries in Chinatown and watching the sunset glitter off the Golden Gate Bridge. So now I'm back, and diving straight back into creating the most valuable content I can for you. Content like our newest Upper Body Strength Vinyasa Flow, and our December Calendar - ENHANCE. I don't know if you know this, but the reason I create these things for you, these classes and these calendars, is because I have benefitted greatly from similar throughout my yoga journey. To this day I follow the weekly calendars designed by my yoga teacher (who also is a YouTube teacher). Every Sunday I go into my agenda and write out my yoga schedule based on the calendars she makes. Because I do it, I assume that it's helpful for other people too! And because my own personal practice is based upon youtube videos, I create them special for you, so that you can practice on your terms; when and how you want. That's really the power of online yoga class. You can schedule them in, rather than skip a live class, or rush to it, just because it doesn't exactly fit into your schedule. It's truly my favorite way to practice, and I hope you find as much value in them as I do! So, without further ado, enjoy our newest free class! And when you're done, download our December Calendar! Check off the classes as you go and tag me on IG @yoga.infusion when you share your progress! ? Dylan 11/15/2021 0 Comments 10 Minute Office Stretch
“The sprouting of the seeds of creativity, intuition and wisdom takes place in a relaxed mind. Only anger, greed and ego require a disturbed mind.” ― Shivanshu K. Srivastava
Oh, my friend, I have some gifts for you today! Both of which correspond to our collective need for rest, for a break, for an opportunity to pause and come home to ourselves. For some of us, the pandemic gave us that break. For others, it made it even harder to find the time. Which camp are you in? But, friend, taking a break is more important than ever. During your work day, and in your life. Resting gives our mind the time to recoup, and come back sharper. It gives our bodies the opportunity to heal. And it gives our energy the peace it needs for our creativity to flourish. Because no one is creative when their minds and bodies are stressed out. So today, I have two opportunities for you. One, a quick ten minute stretch that you can squeeze into any office lunch break. (I came up with this for myself and my classmates during one of our all day Ayurveda classes and it was just the reset we needed to recommit to hours of learning) The second, dear soul, is the most glorious opportunity to reset your entire being: from the deep energetic level all the way up to the physical surface. A week of complete joy. Days floating in the sun and nights exploring ancient cities. 7 days in 7 different ports. A private yacht only for us; an intimate group of yogi explorers. And of course, yoga every day. This is the most amazing opportunity to get back in touch with yourself, and bring complete and utter happiness to your inner child who needs a bit of rest and a bit of pampering. Because damn it if we couldn't use a little pampering right now, amirite? My friend, we are going to Croatia with Yoga Sailing Holidays. We will spend an entire week soaking up the sun on the Dalmatian coast, meandering through history and diving in some of the most beautiful waters in the world. The perfect blend of civilization and nature. I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am about this adventure and I hope you'll join me! The date is chosen, September 3-10, 2022. Now all that's left is you. Will you be joining me in Paradise? If you feel the pull, and I know you do, then click here to read more about the itinerary, what to expect, and then book at the bottom! (make sure to put in our dates/trip!) There's an early bird special going on right now that you do not want to miss! €50 off the price per person and €100 euro off the deposit. If you have any questions at all, you can comment below and I will be there to answer them. If I cannot, Geoff over at Yoga Sailing Holidays, who I am working with to create this trip of a lifetime, has been doing this for many years and has been most prompt and accommodating in his responses to me. There are only 7 spots. 7 spots for 7 days. Is it your turn? Sat Nam, Dylan Book Paradise Now! 11/1/2021 0 Comments CoreVember Espresso Shot Abs
"Authority relieves us of the responsibility of independent action."
-Starhawk How familiar are you with the chakras? I feel like we may have talked about them before. Maybe not all of them, but definitely the 3rd Chakra. Can you tell it's my favorite? The heart is the center of the chakras, but the navel is the center of your energy. So Manipura, the 3rd chakra, is located in the navel center. 72,000 nadis, or energy channels, originate here, and as such this area of the body is, honestly, supercharged. It is the home of the ego which, contrary to popular belief, is not the enemy. The ego creates the individual. If you lost that, you would lose your ability to be an individual standing in space. And you ARE an individual, even if we are all connected. The 3rd chakra is also the home of your ability to act on your beliefs, assimilate all you consume, and take action on your dreams. All in all it is a very important place to pay attention to. And this class, like this chakra, is pure fire! Fire I tell you! This is the first class of the Yoga Infusion Studio's CoreVember 2.0, but I'm sharing it with you as well so you can get a taste of what this month's theme is all about. CoreVember: a prayer to the core and the 3rd chakra. We would love to have you join us inside! Join for the monthly rate of $25 or grab this training plan on it's own for $35. I can tell you which one I'd pick... Anyway, ENJOY! Because that's really the point of it all, isn't it? To enjoy this little stint on earth that we've got in this lifetime. Let's have some fun, and I'll see you on the mat! ? Dylan 10/18/2021 0 Comments Quick Core Power Yoga
“He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how.” ― Friedrich Nietzsche
Everyone finds their practice for a different reason. That reason could be a whole number of things, from calming the mind to losing the belly fat. For me it was losing the belly and the back fat. It was as simple as that at the end of the day, but the practice hooked me in and led me to where I am today. But I didn't start yoga so I could live a better life. It happened naturally. Because when you start yoga, something changes. I'm sure you already know that, because you're here, right? Yoga has done something for you that has you coming back to the mat again and again. But just because we move beyond the place where we started, doesn't mean we should forget where that was. Instead, we should remain conscious of that place, of that mindset, or that thing, whatever it was, that brought us to our practice in the first place. So that when we have hard days, or are busy, or discouraged, we remember what it is we're really practicing for. So we can hold on to that. And re-discover the beauty of this practice. Today's class brings me, personally, back to my why; back to the reason that I started this practice in the first place. It's the kind of physical practice that I love most. But even though it's physically challenging, it can be so much more than that. What is this practice to you, my friend? What is your why? Hit reply and let me know! And then hit play on this video and enjoy! 10/4/2021 0 Comments Busy Day Heart Opening Flow

You might think that you need a full 60 or 70 minute class to get the deep seated benefits of yoga. But if you think that, you'd be wrong. Not wrong in a bad way! ? You DO get amazing benefits from a longer practice like that! But you can get equally as powerful results from a 30 minute practice. Have you tried both? A longer and shorter practice? Which one feels better in your body/your experience? Leave a comment and let me know! So today's vinyasa fusion is short but emotionally powerful. It's a heart opener for busy days, when you don't have the time or patience for a full hour flow. (I rarely have the patience for an hour myself) If you struggle with poor posture, poor self esteem, lack of energy, or the desire to round yourself into a ball, hide in bed, and block yourself off from the world, then this is the class to try. ESPECIALLY if you're leaning toward hiding in that bed... Because even a short class like this can change your whole perspective on your day (or on your life). Recently I've gone back to work, and started school, and my personal practice is suffering. But my best days are the days that I commit to my practice. Even if it's only for a short time, or if I need to let something else fall to the side. Because it changes everything. It truly does. So enjoy this flow, and let me know you're practicing with me by leaving a ❤️ in the comments on YouTube! And if you're on Instagram, I would love love LOVE it if you would share your practice by tagging me @yoga.infusion Sat Nam, Dylan |
